Patricia’s sixth book, Patriot Priest: The Story of Monsignor William A. Hemmick, The Vatican's First American Canon, has just been published; hear what she has to say about her great uncle, who interacted with some of the most extraordinary intellectuals of
modern times, including Pope Pius X, Pope Benedict XV, Pope Pius XI,
Pope Pius XII, Marshall Foch, artist Simon Elwes, Sir Shane Leslie, F.
Scott Fitzgerald (who was once his student) and so many other notables
of that era, and brought his considerable influence to several pivotal
moments in world history, from World Wars I and II to issues during the
Cold War.
Patricia is a member of Write by the Rails, the Prince William Chapter of the Virginia Writers Club, which meets Thurs., Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 9325 West St. in Old Town Manassas. Have dinner in Old Town Manassas and then come to the chapter meeting and hear guest speaker Michael N. Pocalyko, investment banker and author of The Navigator.
