The Arts Council held its annual membership meeting and a Board of Directors’ meeting on Tuesday, June 12. We wanted to let you know about the following actions:

1) The Board adopted the meeting schedule for FY13, which alternates between Board and committee meetings (Program Committee and Marketing Committee).

2) The Board adopted the dues schedule for FY13. The dues are unchanged from the current year, and the Arts Council will send a notice to members for your annual dues payments in early July.

3) The Board approved the date for next year’s Arts Alive festival on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.

4) The membership elected the following for a two-year term on the Board of Directors from July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013:

Susan Bardenhagen – individual member

Ellen Carleton –New Dominion Choraliers

Katherine Mercurio Gotthardt – individual member

Alan Grofé –Manassas Symphony Orchestra

Venus Miller –CAPAC

Catrina Stroman –CAPAC

Mark Wolfe –Manassas Ballet Theatre
